DEMODEX

So yesterday I found out that I received a research grant to continue my project, which is great. I immediately felt that I should clue you in on my research.

Meet the Demodex folliculorum, a friendly little chelicerate that lives on your face and eats god knows what. I caught this little guy somewhere between my nose and my ear and slapped him onto a slide for his big close-up and your viewing pleasure.

On another note I watched Fired Up today with Yellow Fever, possibly the worst movie anyone has ever seen or made...

  1. I had to look up this movie. This is what IMDB posts as the Plot: "The two most popular guys in high school decide to ditch football camp for cheerleader camp. For the girls and for the glory." If the title didn't stop me (which it didn't) this plot summary did. I stopped after the two most popular guys and immediately knew this is the type of movie that will get spoofed on Not Another Teen Movie (II? III?) How could you? Its a 23 on the tomatometer!! (I had to cross reference)

The Demodex folliculorum? You found that on your FACE? I don't have words. What is it all about? You've definitely piqued my scientific curiosity. A mite that likes sebum and hormones? - Delicious.

    Science is cool.
